How to plug in your Strong SRT 53 Series Set Top Box using S-VHS leads
Click on the image above to see a larger picture with more detail.
First of all, you need to plug in your antenna. The Top right socket is the one to use - it is labeled ANT IN on the box.
You will also need to plug in the antenna loop cable, it is a 2 inch antenna lead that goes from RF Loop OUT to RF Loop IN (bottom right to top left in the illustration)
You can then plug your VCR/TV in to the ANT OUT socket on the bottom left.
This will ensure an interference free picture goes to your analogue tuners in your VCR/TV.
Next, plug in the 2 red/white leads to the set top box, and the corresponding sockets on your television or amplifier. The red/white leads will deliver the left and right audio.
Now, plug in the S-VHS lead into the S-VHS socket on the right hand side of the set top box. The other end goes into your TV, making sure to pair it up with the red/white leads that are delivering your audio.
Once you change to the AV (S-VHS) channel on your television, you will see the installation menu like this one.
It is important to change the SCART output setting in the menu to S-VHS - otherwise you will get a black and white picture.
