We've had numerous emails from customers wanting the very best performance from their Topfield hard disk recorder, particularly when used with an LCD / Rear Projection / Plasma / Projector display, as these types of displays show up many faults in picture quality due to the size of the display, which can be more than 10 feet wide!

This kit is for those with interlaced component inputs only. You don't need it if you want to use RGB/S-Video or Composite inputs.

To get best results, use the kit in the following manner:

Firstly, unplug your antenna lead at the wall socket.

Plug in one of the male to male quad shield cables.

Plug the other end into the Kingray amplifier to the socket labelled ANTENNA

Plug the second male to male quad shield cable into one of the TV sockets on the amplifier

Plug the third male to male quad shield cable into the other socket labelled TV on the amplifier

Plug the other ends of those two cables into the ANTENNA IN sockets on the Topfield (the inputs are the two sockets on the top).

Plug the male to female cable into one of the antenna out sockets on the Topfield (one of the bottom ones - doesn't matter which one) and then plug the other end into your TV for great analogue reception.

The RGB to Component converter attaches via the SCART to SCART cable. Plug this cable into the SCART TV socket on the Topfield and the SCART socket on the RGB to Component converter.

Now plug the Component RCA leads into the converter, and into your display. Plug the left and right audio leads into the RCA outputs on the Topfield and the RCA inputs on your display (if it has any - most people will run an optical fibre lead to their amplifier).
